Ingredients

  • cup Vietnamese Iced Coffee (80ml) (you could use instant coffee or ground coffee)
  • 2 ripe avocado
  • tbsp condensed milk
  • ½ cup fresh milk (125 ml)
  • 4 ice cubes

Instructions

Make Vietnamese Iced Coffee:

  • If you use instant coffee, follow the instructions on the package.
  • If you're using a Phin filter, follow these instructions for making Cà Phê Sữa Đá.

Prepare the avocado smoothie and enjoy:

  • In your blender, mix ripe avocado, fresh milk, condensed milk, and ice cubes. For a mini blender, crushed ice can be used instead.
  • Puree all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  • Transfer the avocado smoothie into a glass.
  • Top the avocado smoothie with coffee and enjoy!

Notes

  • Select a ripe avocado.
  • If Vietnamese coffee isn't available, you can use Espresso.
  • Another way to make avocado coffee in Vietnam in case you don't have a blender to make smoothie: mash the avocado with condensed milk, then mix it with milk.
  • Adapt the amount of condensed milk to match your desired level of sweetness.
  • For a vegan-friendly version, replace regular milk and condensed milk with coconut milk and sugar (or vegan condensed milk).
