A Glimpse of Vietnamese Coffee
Coffee is an integral part of Vietnamese culture. The French introduced coffee to Vietnam, and the Vietnamese people localized it, making it flourish worldwide much like our famous Bánh Mì.
When traveling in Vietnam, coffee and chocolate are the local specialties I highly recommend bringing home. I even have a collection of Vietnamese coffee brands (the locally beloved brands) which can be quite helpful for your trip.

What is Vietnamese Avocado Coffee?
Avocados are often known as an ingredient for savory dishes. I’ve even made chicken spring rolls with avocado, and they’re fantastic. However, in Vietnam, my home country, avocado is regarded as a fruit and can be incorporated into numerous beverages and desserts.
Vietnamese Avocado Coffee (or Cà Phê Bơ) is the specialty of Daklak, a central mountainous province. In Vietnam, Daklak is the capital of Robusta coffee and avocado. Local people simply combine these two agricultural delicacies to create a uniquely delicious drink: Avocado Coffee.
Cà Phê Bơ combines Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Vietnamese Avocado Smoothie. The creamy avocado shake and the robust, intense flavor of Robusta coffee create a harmonious dream that no one can resist.
Our Indonesian fellows also have a similar avocado shake, which is Jus Alpukat, but they use either chocolate syrup or coffee to drizzle over the avocado smoothie.
